Tình cảm is a Vietnamese word that describes the emotional bonds we form with people, places, and memories.
For this illustration, I chose to portray a small, familiar gesture of care: one person placing a peeled shrimp into someone else’s bowl of rice.
In Vietnamese culture, acts like this can be a quiet way of showing affection — especially within families. Instead of always saying how much we care, we often show it through small gestures: preparing food, serving someone first, peeling fruit or shrimp, or making sure they have enough to eat.
