Quê hương – Art Print by Bảo Quyên
Quê hương [“homeland · roots · belonging · home”] is a Vietnamese expression that describes the place we come from – and the part of it we continue to carry with us.
For this illustration, a woman wearing traditional Vietnamese clothes holds a small house with roots close to her heart. The roots represent our connection to family, culture, language, and memory, while the heart in the window reflects the idea that home is not only a place – it is also something we carry within us.
